BURRDA SPORT is pleased to once again provide match kits to all teams competing in the Workers' Cup with this year's competition being the 6th edition. BURRDA SPORT has designed and produced match kits in such a way that all 32 teams competing will each have a unique match kit which will help avoid any potential colour clashes.
Background to the Workers' Cup:
From the inception of the Workers' Cup Football Tournament, Qatar Stars League (QSL) and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) have collaborated to engage with the football community at large and encourage all supporters and players of the beautiful game, regardless of their varying demographics, ethnicities and social standings to take part in the Workers' Cup. The Workers' Cup tournament aims to use the power of football to encourage positive social change within Qatar. Every year workers from businesses in various commercial sectors of Qatar take the advantage of participating in the tournament to transcend the regular restraints of the working environment to challenge their colleagues and competitors.
- All matches are to be held every Friday, from 2nd February 2018, from Group stage through to knock out and this will culminate in to a Grand Final. 32 teams are divided into 8 groups, with 4 teams in each group. Each team is guaranteed to play a minimum of 3 games throughout the qualification rounds.
- All players must be employees of the participating company or approved sub-contractors of that company. An opening ceremony attended by BURRDA SPORT's Chief Operating Officer, Collin Allin and Head Of Sales, Ali Shakron was held at Duhail Sports Club on Friday 2nd February prior to the opening match.
